Our client had a small rear garden, with a lawn in the centre surrounded by gravel. As they were getting older they wanted to have less maintenance and decided that an artificial lawn was the way forward.
We came in and stripped out the lawn, installed a timber edge around the area where the new artificial grass was to be installed. We put down a compacted Type 1 blinding with a crowning of sharp sand and a weed membrane.
The grass was then installed, pinned in place with a kiln dried sand on top and trimmed to size.
The client was so pleased with the look of the artificial grass they asked us to do the front lawn as well in the same artificial turf. This time removing the flower beds around it and replacing them with a membrane and a red granite stone chip, which really set off the green of the turf.
